The polls are open for early voting! Lets go Hays County!

Who I am:

I grew up all over due to my dad’s military service. After my parents separated, stability was something we had to build ourselves. I spent key years living with an uncle who kept the expectations simple. Wake early. Work as long as needed. Carry yourself with pride. Go to bed tired and do it again the next day. That mindset shaped everything that followed.

As a young adult I worked nonstop, juggling labor work in construction, structured wiring jobs, bartending, and serving as a firefighter. There were no days off for years. I kept pushing because service was the one place where everything made sense and matched the drive I felt.

In 2007 I moved to Texas. Continuing in the fire service required starting the academy over, which did not align with the direction my life was taking. I chose law enforcement instead. I applied with the San Antonio Police Department in 2008 and advanced to the final group after physical testing. When CAPCOG announced a single opening for its academy, I withdrew from the San Antonio process, secured that seat, and graduated in 2009. I arrived as the outsider from New York and left with a deeper level of discipline and accountability.

I joined the Rollingwood Police Department where I learned professionalism, humility, and how to balance firm standards with compassion. One off duty encounter helped define my approach to public service. A young woman fleeing abuse needed to travel home and had no means to do so. Two days before payday, with very little in my account, I purchased her plane ticket and store employees helped get her ready to travel. Weeks later she mailed a note and a check asking me to replace the money and save the rest for the next person who needed help. That moment has stayed with me ever since.

After eight years full time I transitioned to the Hays County Precinct 2 Constable’s Office. I have served as a Reserve Deputy from the night we were sworn in and continue to do so today. I work at no cost to the county and receive no benefits. I serve because the community deserves it and because public safety has been a constant in my life.

My private sector career began at a data center company in Austin. I entered with minimal technical experience but strong skills in communication, research, and problem solving. I built a customer success model that grew into a nationwide program supporting enterprise clients. After a company acquisition I continued that work, leading cross functional teams, managing high stakes escalations, and helping guide the organization through periods of significant operational change.

I later moved into healthcare cloud and cybersecurity where I learned to manage outages affecting critical systems, lead talented teams, and operate in an environment driven by precision, compliance, and rapid decision making.

When a home remodel went wrong I founded a construction firm built on communication, accountability, and solving problems without excuses. The company grew quickly and my oldest daughter now manages daily operations. I expanded into software, consulting, and technology ventures, kept a stable workforce by investing in training and culture, and increased my volunteer hours as a Reserve Deputy, often working nights alongside local agencies.

I have served in various roles during several disaster events, including one that required extensive multi-agency coordination. Those experiences reinforced the value of disciplined incident command, strong communication, and after action reviews that create real improvements.

My leadership philosophy is simple:
1. Transparency

2. Accountability

3. Do it right the first time and if you fail, start over at step one.

Transparency and accountability are not slogans. They are operating standards. Do the work right the first time and when something fails, do not cover it up or patch around it. Start over at step one and fix it properly. Leadership means listening first, acting quickly and responsibly, and treating people with dignity at every level. Solve the problem in front of you, document the work so it is repeatable, and improve the process so the next outcome is better than the last. Hold yourself and your team accountable, and make sure the people actually doing the work are seen, supported, and recognized.

Why choose me?

Years of managing contracts, accounts, and multi million dollar projects prepared me to evaluate
spending, demand performance, and deliver value to residents.

I have built teams in law enforcement, technology, and construction. Healthy culture requires
clear goals, training, the right tools, and leaders who support employees when they do the right
thing.

Every county office is a service point. I will push for clear communication in English and
Spanish, simpler processes, and predictable timelines that residents can trust.

My foundation in fire service, law enforcement, reserve duties, and disaster response aligns
directly with the County Judge’s responsibilities. I will strengthen coordination, training, and
readiness across all agencies.

My experience in construction and operations gives me a practical understanding of planning,
cost control, and execution. I understand roads, drainage, facilities, permitting, and the value of
involving experts and neighborhoods early.

Residents deserve to see how decisions are made and whether outcomes match promises. I will
push for open data dashboards, clear reporting, and consistent follow through in Commissioners
Court.

I grew up with very little and spent my life trying to improve every place I touched. From
instability to discipline, from service to leadership, from patrol cars to data centers to
construction sites, the goal has been the same. Serve people. Protect them. Build systems that
last. Do it with honesty, accountability, and respect.
I am ready to bring that experience to the office of County Judge.
